Natural Remedy to Beat the Flu

11 Jan

Forget flu shots… They are filled with garbage that will certainly leave you sicker than if you hadn’t taken them at all. Heavy metals, formaldehyde, MSG and more await your in your next needle. Besides, the flu is similar to AIDS in that it is in a constant state of mutation leaving that flu shot about 6 months behind where it needs to be in protecting you or your family. So what to do?

The Earth contains your remedy. For me, I have not been sick in 2 years and I intend on keeping it that way. My girlfriend’s 84 year old grandmother from the Philippines taught me this ancient Philippine recipe that has helped me ward off the worst of the worst and I am happy to share it with you:

  1. 1 x Full Plastic Package of Fresh Oregano (Preferably Organic)
  2. Fresh Orange (Preferably Organic)
  3. Fresh Lime (Preferably Organic)
  4. Optional: Vodka

  1. Take all the leaves of oregano off the stems in the entire package of fresh oregano from your grocery store.
  2. Place them in a blender
  3. Add half of the orange (Just fruit, no peel)
  4. Squeeze the entire lime of its juice
  5. Optional: Add half shot of vodka.
  6. Blend until fully liquefied and dark green.
  7. Shoot back.
  8. Repeat twice daily until cold or flu symptoms have passed.

This works. Better than any flu shot that’s for sure. The fresh oregano gives your immune system a supercharged boost and wards off any future illness. For best results, do it when you are just getting sick or even after.

Pregnant women should not use this remedy as it may cause contractions.

Please let me know your feedback and please read what is in those filthy flu shots before you let some doctor inject it into your blood when they don’t even know themselves. Let someone inject something into your bloodstream and they don’t even know what they are injecting? Who is crazier? You or them?

And make sure you get enough Vitamin D, exercise and sleep.

Fluoride: There is Poison in the Tap Water

7 Jan

Please e-mail John Filion, Toronto Councillor Ward 23 and Chair of the Toronto Board of Health, at or message him  directly through his website at and demand the immediate removal of hydrofluorosilicic acid (fluoride) from Toronto’s water supply. Please feel free to use any piece of the following email I just sent to him:

Dear Councillor Filion,

If a Harvard study proving that there is a 7 point IQ reduction in children exposed to fluoride is not enough for you to call a meeting to reassess the addition of this toxic chemical to our water supply, then what is? Permanent brain damage?.

What are you thinking? If there is any doubt whatsoever that fluoride is potentially harmful, remove it! Immediately!

I feel you should be held personally liable for this intrusion of my rights. Experimenting with my health and the health of our children will not be tolerated.

I demand the immediate removal of this toxic chemical from our water supply.

The anger I feel about being force-fed a drug I did not consent to ingesting is supernatural. John Filion would like to argue that the discontinuation of water fluoridation would result in more costly fluoride rinses in schools… Says who? Which scientist proved this? The simple answer… Nobody. Ask and find out for yourself.

Human beings have been drinking water for 100,000 years and have never needed to artificially increase fluoride levels. So what has changed? If this is such a righteous practice, why does Canada and the United States make up the majority of the world’s water fluoridation while over 94% of the entire world has rejected it? Countries such as China and India are even trying to remove fluoride from their water supplies to reduce the prevalence of harmful skeletal fluorosis which attacks the teeth and bones, let alone the host of other ailments which are now being brought to light from water fluoridation studies.

The bottom line is, I do not and cannot trust a dentist or a politician to recommend what I ingest in my body, especially to prevent a cavity or tooth decay. It is not their place to decide what I ingest and what our children ingest. As long as there is doubt, a person truly concerned about the safety of the public would discontinue the practice immediately until there was irrefutable evidence that there are no short or long term health effects associated with putting a toxic, industrial waste by-product into our drinking water.

10 Reasons Why The Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) Should Be Demolished Immediately

22 Dec

The Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) is the single largest purchaser of alcohol in the World. This is an easy feat when you have a government monopoly annihilating any competition and a population of 13,000,000 to supply. However, like any monopoly, this comes with a host of inefficiencies which end up costing you, the consumer and taxpayer. Here are the top 10 reasons why the LCBO should be demolished immediately:

     1) Time – Do you enjoy having to drive to a completely separate location or locations to purchase your alcohol? Having to purchase wine, spirits and beer could mean two separate trips which are usually followed by a third to purchase accompanying mixers or snacks. This contrasts the US where you can make all alcohol related purchases in your local grocery store.

     2) Environmental Waste – The carbon footprint of Ontario’s 124 million annual LCBO transactions, where consumers are forced to drive to two separate locations, is massive. The LCBO’s very own Carbon Calculator will show you exactly what your carbon footprint is… Here is mine (Notice the largest impact?):

LCBO Carbon Footprint Calculation

     3) Inconvenience – Refer back to point number 1.

     4) Hyperinflated Salaries – In light of the recent report on Federal Bureaucrats costing us taxpayers almost $44 billion a year, it is no surprise that the average full-time LCBO salary is over$100,000 as well. Taking into account the wages and salaries expense of $424,177,000 per year, this money would be instantly saved by being absorbed into existing free-market infrastructure.

     5) Oversight (Or Lack Thereof) – When government institutions watch over other government institutions, it can be argued that this may lead to a lack of proper rules enforcement. When the government itself benefits from any form of collusion, this results in a catch 22 scenario. For example, although brought to the public’s attention in 2011 that the LCBO was found to be overcharging us taxpayers by colluding with suppliers to artificially markup prices, where was the punishment? What corrective actions have been taken since?

     6) Variety – Is there a special type of alcohol you like, but cannot get? You can thank your government for that. Centralized purchasing power has eliminated the possibility of obtaining special alcohol brands of wine, beer and spirits. The World is a big place, but it gets a lot smaller when a single government purchasing authority makes all the decisions. Centralized purchasing power also leads to a much larger chance of collusion as larger contracts invite larger perks.

     7) Cost – If privatized, the cost of alcohol may or may not go down. Applied government taxes could largely affect the overall cost of a bottle of alcohol when sold at the store level. What would most certainly go down however, is government expenses:

  • The cost of running and maintaining the over 600 LCBO locations would be instantly absorbed into existing business infrastructure, saving almost half a billion dollars in costs and expenses.
  • A further $110 million dollars would be saved in administration expenses, although a large portion of this would be required to allow for the transition to privatization and eventual monitoring of retail outlets similar to tobacco (A further $424 million would also be saved in salaries and expenses as mentioned earlier).
  • The almost $90,000,000 in annual warehouse expenses would be completely abolished.
  • Finally, if there is only one coffee shop in town, would it really be necessary to market that coffee shop to patrons as with the LCBO’s printed Food and Drink magazine?

     8) Concentration of Power – Centralized purchasing power is not just limited to alcohol itself, it extends to the outsourcing of special projects like the $49 million spent on capital improvements to its stores in 2010/11 which would be saved immediately if the LCBO were dismantled. Once again, large purchasing power and lack of government oversight leads to a larger chance of collusion… Who is watching over how these contracts are awarded?

     9) Inefficiencies You can be the judge of whether you believe government run institutions are efficient, however the biggest difference between private and crown corporations is that private corporations always have more skin in the game. If you run your own business and lose sales or do not cut costs, you go bankrupt and lose your house while the government gets bailed out by taxpayers. In 2012, it was revealed that the LCBO, the single largest purchaser of alcohol in the world, pays too much for the alcohol they purchase. If it was your business, would you not continuously negotiate with your suppliers?

     10) Value of a Monopoly – As a businessman myself, I do not and cannot agree to a perpetual monopoly under any circumstance. In my opinion, it is not the role of the government to play God with a product or service. The role of the government is to protect consumers and taxpayers from any potential harm of the free market economy by taxing and regulating what the free market does, not participating in the free market itself.

Do you disagree? Please let me know your thoughts and ask yourself one question the next time you drive to a separate location to purchase alcohol… Is this really necessary?

Oh yeah, and why isn’t there a tax breakdown on your receipt when you go to the LCBO?

Why Speed Doesn’t Kill: Bad Drivers a Result of NO Government Training

27 Oct

Driving down the 401 in Toronto, you may have come across LED billboards over the highway. Chances are you may have seen one of a few key government messages as well “Speed Kills.” This is a very powerful message conjuring up flashes of NASCAR car wrecks and flaming automobiles strewn across the highway. This poweful message is also wrong.

Speed doesn’t kill. The country with the fastest highway in the world, Germany, has one of the lowest fatality rates on their Autobahn. Therefore speed doesn’t kill: If it did, the Autobahn would be a bloodbath.

Speed is also relative. Whereas 60 km/h  on a highway would be considered dangerously slow – In a school zone it would be just the opposite. Who says at what point someone is going too fast? How was that metric made?

Even if speed is a factor in an accident, this does not prove that speed is the cause of an accident. I could say that Ice Cream is consumed less in the winter because it is colder outside, but unless I test this hypothesis isolating all other potential factors, Ice Cream consumption could go down in the winter because there was a milk shortage and the retailers decided to raise their prices.

But I digress…

Others have postulated that the largest contributing factors to higher car wreck fatalities are drunk driving, poor weather conditions, old people, carelessness or simply not wearing a seatbelt. Strange enough, as I started combing through the available on-line results I found it increasingly difficult to find the reason I believe highway fatalities occur – “Bad Driver Training” due to improper government regulation… and I am usually for less regulation.

In Ontario, a new driver as young as 16 years old can write a multiple choice test and Voila! Here are the keys to your brand new Lambo (albeit with some restrictions). Does the government believe it is the responsibility of fellow drivers to teach new drivers how to drive? Contrast this with previously mentioned Germany, who has an extremely (in comparison) demanding licensing process, involving in-class and in-car training, night driving, highway driving, manoeuvring, and approximately $1,700 Euros. They even teach you how to drive in the snow! Wait, doesn’t Canada have that powdery stuff too? 🙂

Bottom line – If the Canadian government taught the Canadian people how to drive as in Germany, as opposed to relying on some sort of twisted game of driver training broken telephone, our roads would be less clogged, our headaches less severe, our time less wasted, and of course, we would see automobile accident related deaths plummet. Think about it the next time your government tells you why accidents happen. Or better yet, send an email to the Ontario Ministry of Transportation and ask them what they are doing to better train Ontarian drivers.

Do Monsanto’s CEOs Eat Genetically Modified Food?

24 Oct

Growing up, my father would tell me stories about how genetic modification was the way of the future. Not just for plants or animals, but for all humanity as we extended our home across the Universe. I understood and agreed with him. If we were to inhabit an alien world, modifying our genetic structure seemed logical and magical.

This may be why my father seemed dumbfounded when two weeks ago, I told him I was against our family eating any GMOs whatsoever. Let me explain…

It’s not that GMO food is bad, it’s why we are genetically modifying our food that counts.

To this day, the main reason we genetically engineer food is to provide that food with resistance to what would otherwise be a deadly dose of chemical poison, usually Glyphosphate (Better known as Roundup), a highly toxic herbicide which has been found to kill human cells. This resistance is achieved by mixing the DNA of certain bacteria with that of the target crop, allowing whole fields to be sprayed but only the weeds die off.

Special “terminator” strains of corn and soy have also been genetically modified to be sterile and die after one growing season, ensuring farmers falling under the tentacles of Monsanto continue to purchase seeds exclusively from them, year after year. About half of Monsanto’s over $10 billion annual revenue now comes from the sale of Roundup Ready products and GMO seeds.

If the GMO strains being used can withstand a higher dose of this chemical, does it mean farmers are using less of it? No. Approximately 100 million pounds of this poison are now used on American farms and lawns every year This number is sure to climb as recent studies show Roundup resistant superweeds are now a threat.

The fruits and vegetables that are sprayed with Roundup readily absorb it. These fruits and vegetables are then sent to supermarkets directly or refined into thousands of other products, until you and I ultimately purchase them, eat them, and feed them to our children. Remember, scientists have shown that this chemical kills human cells… Feel comfortable washing your food in the sink anymore?

With Proposition 37 in California underway, it has been interesting (and scary) to witness the grand lobby at its worst. Monsanto, Coca-Cola, Dupont, Bayer, Kelloggs, Campbells, Dole, Hersheys, Heinz, McCain, Nestle: the list goes on and on of companies opposing the right to know what is in the food we eat. As many of these opponents are well-educated it must be painstaking for some of them to stand against something as morally righteous as letting consumers know the source of their food. Some pundits have even gone so far as to claim there is no difference between Organic and “regular” food however while nutritional values may be the same, buying organic ensures you are not on the receiving end of a dose of Roundup herbicide (or antibiotics in the case of organic meat and eggs).

In Europe, Genetically Modified Food is labelled as such. The labels are not spectacular, they simply write that the source of a particular ingredient is genetically modified. That’s it. For example, whereas an American label would say “Vegetable Oil”, in Europe the same label would say “Vegetable Oil (Contains genetically modified Soybean Oil)”. Are you being led to believe that this is difficult to enact?

With the vote to take place November 6th, 2012, the opportunity to take our food back is now. My thoughts are with the people of California. I hope you can find the strength to do what is right, and demand proper food labeling for all.

To me, genetic modification is still the way of the future, but for now, we are a caveman playing with new-found fire in a very dry forest.

Welcome to the Information Revolution

21 Oct

Why TV Party?

Our politicians are corrupt. The ability to publicly promise to take an action, and then change direction behind closed doors, is the largest flaw of our current democratic system. The only way there will be true representation of the people, for the people, is by filming our politicians 24 hours a day. Every meeting, every lobbyist, every decision, every minute. Only then will we have true democracy… When we can see and hold our elected representatives accountable for their actions after the promises have been made.

Welcome to the Revolution…

Join me as I question the very fabric of our culture. Is the Republican/Democratic race free democracy in action or a left/right paradigm? Why is fluoride added to our water supply? Why is the sky riddled with criss-crossing clouds when, as a child, I have no memory of this phenomenon? Do secret groups control society? Was 9/11 an inside job? And so on and so forth. I will question everything, and use reason to determine how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Enjoy the Ride

Maybe you agree with me, maybe you don’t. That is the beauty of a truly free and democratic society. We all have the right to think, feel, and say anything we wish. And right now, I feel that enough is enough. Join me as I throw myself out into the public forum.

Join me as I look to the very top of the pyramid.
